Vision | Huddle | Skill
Are you a Team Member at Pointe North? If so, then this night is for you as we go retro with VHS and Pot Luck! Yes, an old fashion Pot Luck starts at 6:00 – bring a covered dish, something enough to feed your family (be sure to label your dish and serving spoon with some duck tape and a sharpie marker so nobody accidentally takes Grandma's favorite casserole dish.)
After stuffing our face with fried chicken and casseroles, we'll hear some Vision from Pastor Tim. Then, we'll Huddle with our different teams and your Team Captain will review or teach a new Skill. Kudos to anyone who comes dressed in their best 80's church attire!
We will be offering a movie night after the potluck for children ages 6 weeks to 5th grade, but please let us know how many children you'll be bringing.

Summer Breakaway 2017
June 25th - June 30th, 2017
This summer, we will be attending a Conference put on by Christ in Youth called "MOVE". It is located in the beautiful Appalachian region of East Tennessee at Milligan College, Johnson City.
MOVE provides a program for 30,000 high school students every summer. Students are challenged through intense, interactive worship, dynamic preaching, small group study and community building.
Students at MOVE not only learn and worship together – they spend quality time with their church youth groups, discovering ways that God will use them to impact the world.
MOVE is more than just another conference or camp – it’s an experience! It’s an all-inclusive event providing food, lodging, recreational activities and an amazing program. Adult leaders are provided small group materials prior to the event, and then meet with CIY staff each morning to go over each day’s lesson. And MOVE curriculum is made available to all groups after the event. This includes curriculum that will take your students deeper into MOVE’s theme for four more weeks.
MOVE is committed to helping students take their mountaintop experiences beyond the event by challenging them to become Kingdom workers. To encourage that commitment, each student has the opportunity to open a Kingdom worker card on the last day of MOVE. On that card is a challenge to complete something over the next year, no matter how difficult the task.
We will be leaving on the morning of the 25th, it's about a 5 hour drive (we will be traveling in Pointe North's NEW [slightly used] BUS!!) and the first Session begins that night. The rest of the week is packed with lots of big worship, biblical teachings, small groups, many "tracks"/classes covering a multitude of topics that the students get to choose from, and a lot of recreation time. Without question these students are going to grow in their relationships with Christ and it is going to change them.
Students a REQUIRED to help at AT LEAST 3 of our 8 fundraisers during the next 3 months. If they help at all 8 then we will buy them a T-Shirt at the conference! Pastor Travis has a calendar with all of the fundraiser dates and money due dates.
If students invite a new person that hasn't attended since before January of this year (and that person registers), they will receive $25 off of their total price!!
A non-refundable deposit of $50 to lock them in is due no later than the night of April 30th. This will give students plenty of time to get serious with saving and raising funds for the trip. The total amount of $200 will be due no later than the night of June 4th.

VBS 2017 - Gadgets & Gizmos
July 23rd - July 26th, 2017
This summer we will be learning about how God made each of us in HIS image and unique at the same time! The GADGETS & GIZMOS VBS is geared to capture a kids’ imagination about their Creator so they can discover how they are . . . • MADE by God • MADE for a relationship with Jesus • and MADE to love others.
We will kick off our VBS on Sunday night, July 23rd at 6pm. Your children will start in our large group setting and be a part of fun worship and an entertaining story each night. After Large Group, the kids break down by grade level and attend small groups. For the rest of the night, the kids will stay in their small groups as they partake in snack-time, crafts, and games! When the VBS is over each night, parents will pick up back in the main auditorium.
If you have any questions please email email@example.com or call the church at 843-761-6196

The Truth Bible Study Book helps disciples answer the question "What does a disciple believe?" Many people will claim Christianity, but do they really know what they believe? Do they know the doctrines of the faith? The Truth challenges group members to take a deeper dive into six core doctrines: God as triune creator, the reality of sin, the Person and work of Christ, the kingdom of God, and the church. This disciple-making resource emphasizes practice and mentoring for group settings of multiple sizes to explore the primary doctrines of a disciple of Jesus. Like all the releases in the Disciples Path series, The Truth uses teaching, questions, conversation, exercises, and individual study to facilitate transformational discipleship.
The sessions include: 1. The Doctrine of God 2. The Doctrine of Man 3. The Person and Work of Christ 4. The Kingdom of God 5. The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit 6. The Doctrine of the Church
The study includes an introduction to the weekly session topic, guided prayer options, and Scripture focus with text and narrative explanation that drives the weekly meeting. Also included each week are discussion questions and group exercises that reinforce the primary teaching points of each topic. Individual study and out-of-group activities have all been crafted to help users take their next step as disciples of Christ. These optional activities include but are not limited to reading plans, prayer exercises, personal study, and journaling.
